We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest community housing complex, Jellicoe Road. On June 14th, the Honourable Chris Bishop, Minister of Housing, officially opened the doors to this vibrant new development, marking a significant milestone for Modus Community Housing and the local community.
A Welcome Addition to the Community
Located in the heart of Manurewa, Jellicoe Road, boasts 36 brand new one and two-bedroom apartments. It has been designed to optimally orientate the living blocks so as to capture the sun while still providing significant green-space. The individual appartments provide comfortable and modern living spaces for our residents along with good access of wide hallways and shallow stairs. This complex is the latest in our ongoing efforts to expand quality community housing options, ensuring more New Zealanders have access to safe and affordable housing.

The apartments at Jellicoe Road feature contemporary designs with practical layouts, catering to the needs of individuals and families alike. Each unit is equipped with modern amenities, offering a perfect blend of style and functionality. The complex also includes communal spaces where residents can relax, socialise, and build a strong sense of community. The building was completed to a high standard by Miles Construction with unmatched attention to detail and a passion for sustainable building.
A Heartfelt Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was a memorable event, graced by the presence of the Minister of Housing, Hon Chris Bishop, who expressed his enthusiasm for the project and its positive impact on the community. His speech highlighted the importance of such developments in addressing the housing needs of New Zealand and commended Modus Community Housing for its dedication and hard work. Following this he cut the ribbon, completing the ceremony.
